You are creating new life. The miracle of that will never cease to leave me in awe of the female body. Pregnancy is full of earthly magic and power and raw, natural beauty. I would love to capture this incredible moment in time for you.
I found my purpose in capturing love and connection – and what connection could be more powerful than that between a mother and her child?
I love nature and light and all things wild and beautiful. This is how I want to capture you – in your element with your loved ones. At home, out in the wild or in my Sydney portrait studio.
I grew up near Munich – Germany. I moved to Sydney in 2014 and that’s when I started my photography business. I always loved capturing everything I saw and wanted to commit to memory. Doing it professionally was just the natural, next step for me. Back then, I was still figuring out what I liked to shoot most and I shot everything and everyone coming my way, from food to families.
That immediately changed when in 2017 I gave birth to my first daughte. Experiencing that incredible surge of love and connection and protectiveness washing over me when I first held my newborn baby in my arms, I knew this was the start of the most powerful human experience in my life. I realised then, that mothers, babies, children and families are what I wanted to focus on in my photography. I wanted to capture that powerful family bond that comes into existence with the birth of a baby and continues to be the biggest source of love and purpose as time goes on and babies become toddler, school children, teenagers and adults.
My second daughter was born in 2019. They’re both not so little anymore. It has been such a bitter-sweet feeling watching my babies grow every day and motherhood now sometimes feels like a constant race against time. I’m so grateful I have memories in form of photographs from every stage of my daughters’ lives so far. These images are my most valued possessions and have become more and more valuable as time passes by.
This is my why: I want to be able to preserve all these precious moments for you too.
