Visiting Babies at home is one of my favourite things about my job. Parents are more relaxed if they don’t have to pack a nappy bag the size of a small house to venture out and prepare for every possible emergency (and end up forgetting the baby wipes anyway). Babies, in turn, are more relaxed too.
Little Sienna was 8 months old when I photographed her and a bundle of joy and giggles. A healthy, rolly-polly bundle of cuteness in a yellow romper. I loved every moment of photographing her and if I didn’t have my own baby bundle waiting for me at home, I would have found a way to smuggle Sienna with me.
8 months is such a good time to take photos. Babies that age stay awake for quite long periods of time, are generally quite happy when they are awake, are super cuddly and cute, but can’t run away yet!
If life got too busy with a Newborn, 8 months is also a stage were things start to feel a little more normal again or as normal as life with a baby gets, which is to say: Not very normal. That’s why it’s so important to stop for a second and capture these precious moments!
