I’m always astonished by how quickly babies grow into toddlers. I photographed Lyla for the first time when she was less than two weeks old (who can spot her in my newborn portfolio gallery? ;)) and when I met her again for her 1st birthday family session she was already happily toddling along, exploring the world and well… eating sand of course.
My little one is an early riser. In fact, we’re lucky if our girl sleeps past 5am. So we spontaneously decided to get some photos ourselves and went down to the beach for an early sunrise shoot.
In-home lifestyle sessions have more and more become an alternative to outdoor sunset shoots over the last one or two years. If you have a little baby in tow, an indoor home-session might have its advantages. Here they are:

Last year I had the pleasure to photograph Bobbie’s mum when she was pregnant and last week I finally got to meet the little Miss in real life that is the outside-world!
Although he was in pain from teething (poor thing!) he didn’t let that deter him from being all smiles when the camera was focused on him!
